Hi Everyone!

As you all know it is November, a time for harvest, being thankful for what you have and showing appreciation. This fall has been full of great experiences.  I have met new, inspiring people. I’d like to share my Fall 2015 photography journey with you all and it just so happens to tie in with my last post THE 5 GREATEST THINGS ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY!

Traveling to a new location:

I met interesting women business owners in Washington, D.C.  Rosetta Thurman of Happy Black Woman and the amazing LaShanda Henry were compelling speakers.  I love socializing and sharing my photography ideas and collaborating on projects.

UCI Race

You begin to see the world differently:

The UCI bike race took to the streets of Richmond, VA.  The rainy weather didn’t stop racers or fans.  Love Bug was lucky enough to get a pic with 3rd place winner Ramunas Navardauskas of Lithuania.  We also had the  pleasure of meeting a great local artist, Sir James Thornhill.  He painted a lasting tribute to this event located near 2nd Street.  Stop by to take a look into racing through his eyes!

Becoming the best photographer you can be is hard!!!:

People can get in the way just when you have the perfect angle and lighting set just right!  Do you know how hard it is to get a great shot at a concert?! There are so many fans crowding the stage. Plus you want to be respectful of front row seat ticket holders but your favorite song is on and you just have to be front and center. I must admit that I was a culprit at a recent concert with some of my favorite performers. I battled the crowd of now middle aged women to get some great pics of Drew Hill, Total and many other musicians. We also braved the crowds at Richmond’s beloved, Folk Fest and it was  worth it!!!

Parade of Homes

Looking up feels good doesn’t it:

Many times in life we forget the value of our present life and daily surroundings. Our own home can be comforting even when we forget to value it. Driving around and seeing other homes, stores, people can be interesting, but you have to remember to LOOK UP!!! Here are some pictures from Parade of Homes I appreciate my home, but I also like to LOOK UP and see other homes, and explore the beauty of them.

Normal can be interesting:

Did you know that Virginia has its own variety of apple?  The “VA Beauty” which embodies everything that I love about Virginia.  It’s both beautiful and delicious!  Check out these beautiful pictures found right here in VA.
